About Us
We love to sew and we want you to love it too!
We are based in the Kansas City area. We love to sew and try new sewing and crafting techniques. You can often find us deliberating over and buying fabric for projects in our wonderful local quilt shops!
StitchPop for Kids wants to encourage and help kids and teens begin their own sewing journey with fun, informative and creative sewing projects. StitchPop for Kids also provides a wealth of information and tips for adults who are teaching kids and teens learn to sew.

Learned to sew at age 8 (that was a loooong time ago!). She began teaching others to sew in the 1990s.
Loves to teach others to sew, and loves to sew with Janessa.
Favorite things to sew— handbags, book bags, small quilts. Loves to use solid color cotton fabric, jellyrolls, mini charm packs, and other precuts and LOVES to use lots of colors.

Loves to draw, play Minecraft and try new creative activities like knitting and embroidery–has recently been creating with a glue gun. She’s interested in learning ASL and Japanese.

Janessa started sewing by hand and quickly moved on to sewing on the machine. She loves to imagine and create things for her stuffed animals and dolls, as well as making small quilts.
